When it talks about my favorite brand, I will definitely choose a Seiko, a well-known watch manufacturer in the world. I think most of the people may be used to wear the watch with them every day. It is a very convenient tool to help you manage the time. I think it is an accessory that may get along with users every hour. Most of the users have their own story with their watches. I have my own story with Seiko watch too.

Seiko Diving Watch


In 1965, a diver complained that no watch was able to stand the stress in the deep ocean. It really bothered the diver to do some activities in the ocean. On that time, Seiko decided to develop a watch with the good functions that can stand the water pressure. In the same year, Seiko launched the first diving watch which can stand the water pressure down to 150 meters. It was an innovative design at that time. After that, Seiko diving watch became its popular products and also products that can show its skill to others.

After hearing Seiko's story and doing lots of research, I decided to buy a watch for myself. It was really meaning for me because it was the first thing that I used my first salary to buy it. I think the time is really important to my life. I want to remember the timing that I received my first salary, I want to remember the time that spent the money, I want to remember what I was fascinated in. Seiko's Strategy in Social Media


For its strategy, Seiko usually uploads some new information by Facebook to attract or remind its customers. I think it is the very good ways to keep its customers. When people bought its watches, these customers will become its members. Seiko usually posts beautiful pictures about its watches which may catch customers' eyes again. It not only can keep its awareness but can attract customers to buy again. Most important thing is that it cost little to spread its information through Facebook. I think it is a good way to share its information with potential customers and also can interact with customers.

Where might they fall short?


I think Seiko really do a good job in the market. Seiko has various products to target different level customers. However, some people do not know about that Seiko has high-end products. It is a big problem for Seiko if it wants to reach high-level customers. There are many watches brand in the world if Seiko wants to reach these people, it has to make some change to spread its information to right people. I think this is Seiko's problem that it is hard for people to put this brand with high-end products even Seiko has the luxury and unique products.Seiko_Credor_Fugaku_8

No doubt, Seiko is one of my favorite brands, I have my own story with my Seiko diving watch. I hope Seiko can keep inventing new and beautiful watches. At the same time, I hope Seiko can have a good strategy to change its old stereotype and level itself up.
